Spirit of Hope MCC

Services starts at 10:15 every Sunday morning. 

What can you expect?  Our worship services are wonderfully simple.  We begin with a time of Praise singing, followed by the community's prayers.  Following that we listen for God's voice through special music, the scripture of the day and the lesson.   We respond to God's voice through our offerings, our community actions and Holy Communion (Eucharist).  Some have said our service feels like another denomination that they like or are from, but mostly our service reflects the feeling of God's love in the midst of our community.

Attire on Sunday can range from dresses, suits, ties and slacks to blue jeans and t-shirts.  Our music has elements of tradition as well as elements of contemporary songs like Christian Radio stations play.  

Parents we ask that you bring children/youth with you through the time of Praise Songs on Sunday morning.

During the Pastor’s Welcome we will introduce the teachers and invite the children and youth to accompany their instructors downstairs to their classroom.

After the worship on the first Sundays of the month we do a potluck dinner and invite our visitors to join us.  The other Sundays we hold a time of refreshments and time to chat with each other in our entry way. 

Your child will start with you in the Sunday morning service and then will go to their class for children's worship.

We have assembled a staff of  specificially trained individuals to teach your children the word of God in a way that they can relate and learn.

Your children will then join you at the end of the church service to participate with you in communion.

Each week our Youth aged 13 to 20 gather on Sunday mornings for 30 minutes of lessons and time to hang out together in the Youth Space at Spirit of Hope MCC.  Lessons run parallel to the lessons that are given in the worship service to the adults but in a fun and wonderful way that Youth enjoy.  If you are a youth or you have youth in your home, we encourage you to check out Youth Ministry time at our church Sunday mornings at 10:30 am. 

Each Wednesday evening at 6:30 pm you can be refreshed with our mid-week 30 minute Prayer Service.   This is a great service for you to recenter and to feel the prayers give you hope to carry you through the rest of the week.  Coordinated by Pastor Kurt and our lay leaders, you will hear and participate in prayers gathered from around the world and from our community.   Stop in this Wednesday and be Refreshed!
