Senior Pastor Kurt Krieger
Pastor Kurt was installed as Senior Pastor of Spirit of Hope MCC on September 20, 2009. The vote to call Kurt was taken on March 13, 2009 after a lengthy process to study models of leadership transition in churches.
Pastor Kurt has been a member of Spirit of Hope MCC since January 1985. Kurt served the church in a variety of roles including Minister of Worship, the newsletter editor, the chair of a property search committee and the conveener of the Council of Ministries of Spirit of Hope MCC.
Pastor Kurt has a M.Div. degree from Saint Paul School of Theology in Kansas City, MO USA graduating 1999.
Kurt joined the staff of SOH as the Minister of Administration is 2000 and became the Pastor of Administration in 2003 serving with Rev. John Barbone.
Kurt serves on the Board of Directors of the Lesbian Gay Community Center of Kansas City, participates in the Kansas City Coalition of Welcoming Ministries as well as the Clergy connection to Show Me Pride.
